Atlanta Air Charter is an FAA Certified Part 135 air charter company.
Although based out of McCollum Field at Cobb County airport, Atlanta Air
Charter offers passengers the convenience of over 300 arrival and
departure points in the southeast. We offer aircraft charter services
for business or leisure travel and light cargo operations.

James L. Cook - President
Jim
Cook, as President of Atlanta Air Charter, is responsible for the
day-to-day oversight of the company. Mr. Cook’s previous aviation
experiences include his service of 26 years with Delta Airlines. During
his tenure at Delta, Mr. Cook performed as a flight training instructor,
FAA examiner and Captain on both domestic and international flights.
Mr. Cook has also served in varying capacities with the United States
Navy, including assignment as Commanding Officer of Patrol Squadron
Sixty located at the Glenview Naval Air Station, Illinois. Soloing at
the age of sixteen, Mr. Cook’s aviation career literally spans the globe
and forty years.
Mr.
Cook brings a unique blend of business education, aviation training and
leadership experience to Atlanta Air Charter. His team oriented
approach to management and uncompromising regard for safety position
Atlanta Air Charter to be the leader in on demand service.
Captain Chip Kaczynski – Chief Pilot
Captain
Kaczynski is an aviation veteran with over 25 years of diverse
experience. With 10,000 accident free flight hours; Extensive
general aviation, air force, scheduled airline, and FAA Part 125 and 135
charter expertise, Chip brings his well-rounded career to the benefit of
Atlanta Air Charter.
Chip started flying while in high
school at Naples Airport and later went on to earn his Commercial,
Instrument, and Multi-engine ratings at the Florida Institute of
Technology, where he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Aviation
Management/Flight Technology. After graduation, Captain Kaczynski
obtained his Turbojet Flight Engineer rating, and became an instructor,
where he worked until he was accepted into the U.S. Air Force pilot
training program. Captain Kaczynski served in Operation Desert Storm,
in Saudi Arabia as well as several other conflicts including Bosnia,
Panama, and Haiti.
While serving in the
Reserves, Chip acquired his Airline Transport Rating and was hired by
AirTran Airways where he flew as a Captain on the DC-9 for 5 years. He
left AirTran in 1999 to fly with US Airways, and flew the B-727 and
A-319/320/321. Immediately after the events of “911”, Captain Kaczynski
began flying VIP DC-9s for various high profile sports and racing teams,
and subsequently started his own consulting company. While managing
property and aircraft, Chip joined Atlanta Air Charter to share his vast
knowledge and expertise.
Allen
Poulos - Vice President of
Finance
In
addition to Allen's extensive career in sales, he has also served as an
Armor Officer in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. Allen was
commissioned in the U.S. Army in 1989 and has served as a tank platoon
leader, executive officer and tank company commander, and currently
holds the rank of Major and serves as a battalion staff officer. Allen
began his aviation career in 1991 and holds a private pilots license
with instrument rating. Allen has earned a Bachelor of Business
Administration Degree from Western Michigan University, and a Master of
Science in Finance from Walsh College. He is a Graduate of the Army's
Armor Officer Basic Course, Captains Career Course, Army Airborne
School, and is currently attending The Combined Arms Services Staff
School.
Allen's goal is to promote general
aviation to business and vacation travelers who seek a cost effective
alternative today's commercial air travel market.
Evan Gordon - Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Evan Gordon brings over 30 years of comprehensive sales, sales
management, and marketing experience to Atlanta Air Charter. Mr.
Gordon's career includes twenty years service with Coca-Cola, USA where
he held a variety of sales management positions throughout the Southeast
and California. In Atlanta, Evan joined the Prestige Accounts Group with
Coca-Cola where he managed the largest movie theatre accounts in the
country. Recently, Evan worked in the Key Accounts Division of a major
supplier to the education industry. |
